11 Things Every Christian Needs to Run a Profitable Business
As a Christian, building a profitable online business isn’t just about money—it’s about impact. It’s about stewarding your time, gifts, and influence for God’s glory while providing for your family and walking in freedom.
But let’s be honest—many believers are stuck. They’re overwhelmed, underpaid, and uncertain about how to move forward without compromising their values. Maybe that’s where you are right now.
If so, you’re not alone. In this post, you’ll find 11 powerful principles that will help you grow your business with wisdom and confidence.
These aren’t random tips—they’re battle-tested insights that I’ve applied myself, all rooted in Biblical truth and practical wisdom.
1. Ads Work—Don’t Let Fear Say Otherwise
You already know ads work. You see them all day, every day. If they didn’t work, advertisers would stop paying for them. Yet many Christians avoid paid ads because they’ve tried once, didn’t get results, and concluded,
“Ads don’t work for me.”
But the issue isn’t if ads work—the issue is how you’re using them.
Instead of being intimidated by ad platforms, start by learning from people who run profitable ads every day.
You don’t need to spend thousands. You just need to understand the basics, test small, and optimize. Over time, ads can become a reliable stream of leads and buyers.
2. Start—Stop Waiting for Someone Else
I was driving one day and realized something strange: there was plenty of space on the road, yet I was driving slowly—just like everyone else. Why? Because I was subconsciously waiting for someone else to go first.
That moment hit me hard.
Many of us delay launching a product or starting a new venture because no one around us is doing it. But when you see space in front of you—when you see opportunity—you don’t need permission. You need movement.
Stop waiting for the perfect moment, perfect approval, or perfect conditions. Start.
3. Create More Than You Consume
Let’s be honest: it’s easier to binge content than to produce it. But the people who win online are the ones creating consistently.
This doesn’t mean you never learn—but it means you prioritize action. If you spend 5 hours a day watching videos but never apply what you learn, you’re stuck in an illusion of progress.
The goal? Spend more time building than browsing. Content creation compounds. One piece today becomes a lead magnet tomorrow—and eventually, a full-time income stream.
4. Admit Ignorance—It’s the Beginning of Wisdom
Pride blocks profit. One of the most powerful things you can say in business is, “I don’t know.”
That statement unlocks learning. It opens the door to mentorship, growth, and mastery. I’ve had to admit ignorance in marketing, sales, and systems. That’s how I got better.
Don’t try to fake expertise—pursue it.
God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble. Grace will take you further than hustle ever could. Share on X5. Sell a Product—Or You’ll Become the Product
Here’s the reality: if you don’t have a product, you are the product. That’s what employment is—someone pays for your time and energy, then sells it at a markup.
There’s nothing wrong with having a job. But if you want freedom, start building something you own. Share on XThat’s why I created 24/7 Leads—a step-by-step framework for you, to get leads rolling in every day, without begging or chasing. And CashFlow for Christians helps believers sell digital products from their God-given skills, passions, and experience, in 7 days or less.
6. Do One Thing Well
Success doesn’t come from doing everything. It comes from doing one thing well. In the beginning, don’t try to dominate YouTube, email, Instagram, ads, and podcasting all at once.
Pick one thing. Master it.
If you’re stretched thin, your results will reflect it. I learned early that I’d rather have one platform making me consistent income than five platforms draining my time.
7. Chase Wisdom—Money Will Follow
At one point, I was making over $10,000 a month—but I was chasing money. That mindset led to burnout.
God promises that riches and honor come with wisdom. So when you pursue wisdom, money comes as a side effect—not the goal.
Let money chase you. Let God’s principles attract God’s provision. Share on X8. Don’t Stop Digging
Most people give up too soon. They dig a little, see no gold, and walk away. But breakthrough often lies just a few more inches down.
I think about The Shawshank Redemption, where a man crawls through filth to get to freedom. It’s a gritty picture—but that’s business. The treasure is there, but you have to keep digging.
Stay in one lane. Get better. Go deeper. Share on X9. You Are Royalty—Act Like It
God didn’t just forgive you. He adopted you into His royal family. That means you’re not here to live in fear, doubt, or lack. You’re here to walk in authority.
Every fingerprint is God’s proof that you’re unique. But your identity in Christ is even greater: you’re a king or queen, empowered to use your gifts for His glory.
So don’t shrink back. Don’t self-sabotage. Live like royalty—because that’s who you are in Him.
10. Use the Past as Fuel
When life gets hard, you’ll either quit or reach into your past and remember all the times you didn’t quit.
That’s what I told a friend who pushed through a workout he didn’t want to do. That one win becomes evidence for the next challenge.
The same goes for business. Every time you do the hard thing, you add another example to your “proof list” that says, “I can do hard things—and win.”
11. Don’t Get Distracted by Haters
When people love you and support you, why waste time on those who don’t?
Haters are loud—but that doesn’t make them right. Share on XFocus on the people you’re helping. Focus on the mission God gave you.
Let opposition refine you, not define you. And when needed, turn hate into a teachable moment that blesses others.
This is Bigger Than Business
These 11 lessons are more than strategies—they’re spiritual insights for lasting success.
God doesn’t want you barely surviving. He wants you thriving, serving, and stewarding your gifts boldly. Your business can be a ministry, a blessing to others, and a testimony of God’s faithfulness.
Whether you’re just starting out or have been stuck for a while, these principles will help you get clarity and momentum.
But if I had to start over today, I wouldn’t try everything at once. I’d do just five things that build toward $10K/month the right way. I break that all down in the next article. Stay faithful. Trust the process.
Go Win and God bless.
