Focus On The Message To Be A Bible Master

Hey Bible Masters,

I want to share 1 thing with you,

that separates The Masters, from the Minors as I like to say.

Masters vs Minors

Bible Master

Masters for sake of definition,

are believers in God who are sold out for Him,

and today are truly devoted to Christ.

Which is what I want to be,

you should want to be,

and what Christ expects us to be.

Whereas the Minors are those who are the opposite…

Unbelievers!

Or barely believers in God,

not truly devoted to Christ,

which is what I pray to avoid for myself,

for you,

and what Christ wants us to avoid too.

So, by focusing on what Bible Masters did previously,

and are doing now,

you can avoid being, or becoming a Bible Minor.

Or by avoiding what Bible Minors do,

you can continue, or start becoming a Bible Master!

What Makes A Master?

Focus on the message

When you look at the many examples of Masters in the Bible,

there are men & women,

young and old,

rich & poor,

who all continued to do one thing.

The more you do this,

the more of a master you will become.

The less you do this,

well…You don’t want to go down that route!

The Bible Masters, all focused more on the message,

than if people liked them or not.

This did not mean,

forget about people

It means, care about God first!

Because God cares about people better than we ever will.

So when we follow God’s message,

we are logically speaking,

caring about people.

Examples of Masters

Who is a Bible Master

Let’s look at some examples…

This first one will be a good example,

because it’s really fresh in my mind,

and it helps us see and remember,

Bible Masters are not perfect.

Only the original Master is (more on this later)…

We will obviously make mistakes!

Bible Master Example 1: Jeremiah

In a recent Livestream for my monthly partners,

I did a session on the prophet Jeremiah, as part of Season 1 of Bible Mastery Live! (Watch the whole of season 1 and more, by becoming a partner here).

Jeremiah was clearly a Bible Master,

so we should want to learn from him.

But notice,

he had reasons and excuses why he couldn’t be, “The prophet Jeremiah” as we know him today.

I’m a child,” he says in Jeremiah 1:6.

In verse 7, the Lord corrects him and says,

“Don’t say you’re a child”

“say everything I tell you to say”

God is Ancient,

He’s Eternal,

He is All-Knowing.

So even when a donkey speaks on behalf of God,

IT’S RIGHT!

Think about that…

How much more a man or woman created in God’s image?

Even a young man like Jeremiah,

who says exactly what God says,

and not what he wants to say,

can silence an elderly genius,

or a mob of false prophets with all the power.

If you practice saying what God says when you have conversations,

you have nothing to worry about.

This is one of the things God was showing Jeremiah.

The Power of Mastery – An Illustration

You may know I like sports like basketball,

based on some of my work previously

basketball mastery

So, imagine right now you had a basketball I.Q test,

but Lebron James was sitting right next to you,

feeding you the answers.

How good would you do,

considering most people agree, Lebron has the highest basketball IQ in the NBA?

Remember though,

God is supremely greater than “the king”.

In verse 8, God encourages Jeremiah,

“Don’t be afraid of them,

I AM WITH YOU TO SAVE YOU!”

The root Hebrew word for save means “To snatch away”.

Think of pulling someone out of a mob of attackers.

Imagine knowing the most powerful being in existence,

is fighting your battles for you.

Think of the power behind,

Deontay Wilder’s right hand,

the ferociousness of Mike Tyson,

the I.Q. and stature of Tyson Fury,

and the charisma of Ali.

And mix it all together.

I could list movie stars and do the exact same thing,

but I’m sure you’re getting the point!

These imaginary combinations will all pale in comparison to who is on our side.

In verse 9, the Lord put His words in Jeremiah’s mouth, and the rest is history.

He proclaims the message against the masses,

makes some mistakes,

suffers unjustified persecution,

is vindicated,

BUT HIS ENEMIES ARE DESTROYED!

The Bible Master prevails.

Because the more you focus on the message,

the more powerful you become.

This is why I say,

you Master your life,

by Mastering your Bible.

Focus on the message to master the bible

The next example is a great one,

because it shows you several things all in one.

Bible Master status is not dependent on gender (as mentioned earlier).

It’s not dependent on how long you’ve been saved.

And it’s not even dependent on how much of the Bible you know necessarily.

Bible Mastery is more about,

firstly…what you believe.

And also, like I shared with you earlier,

saying what God says or has done.

Bible Master Example 2: The Samaritan Lady

The Samaritan lady in John 4 who spoke with Jesus,

converted many in a Samaritan city with one question.

In John 4:29 she says,

“Come and see a man who told me everything I did…is this not the Christ?”

She had just become a believer in Christ,

but was someone God used to convert many people in the city.

She didn’t care enough, or at all about,

“Jews and Samaritans having no dealings together”,

as she said in verse 9, as she called Samaritans to accept this Jew as the Messiah.

She could have easily believed,

they wouldn’t listen because of this,

or because she just recently believed.

But she was so sold out,

it overcome any temptations not to speak.

Stop thinking you’re not worthy to be a Bible Master!

Because Christ’s righteousness is available to all who believe.

And the example I think best to share with you about Bible Mastery is Christ himself.

Because He is the Word,

He gave us His Word, and empowers us to slay the enemy with His Word.

So stand up, and use your sword as Ephesians 6:17 says,

and do just as Christ did.

Because all the enemy can do is tempt you,

to distract you from your calling,

just like he tried to do to Christ.

The perfect Bible master

Jesus – The Perfect Bible Master

Jesus,” the devil said in Luke 4:3

“If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread”

JESUS IS THE BIBLE MASTER!

So he replied,

“It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of  God.”

Jesus,” the devil said in Luke 4:5-7

“Worship me and all the glory of the kingdoms of the earth will I give to you.”

JESUS IS THE BIBLE MASTER!

So he replied,

“Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.”

Jesus,” the devil said in Luke 4:9-11

“Throw yourself off the temple and let angels protect you.”

Get this, because, “It is written”…😱 😱 😱

The devil even tried to quote the Word.

He will try to use the weapon you should be holding in your hand, against you to kill you.

Just like he did in Genesis chapter 3.

BUT…

JESUS IS THE BIBLE MASTER!

So he replied,

“It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.”

With Deuteronomy 8:3, Deuteronomy 6:13, and Deuteronomy 6:16,

He overcame.

Relevant scripture, for a relevant battle.

And you have to start doing the same.

I know this can be a lot to take in,

so, here’s a real-life example of how I do exactly what I just shared with you today.

If this helped you, share this with 1 person you would like to become a Bible Master.

God bless Bible Master.
