Your Online Business Won’t Replace Your 9-5, Until You Stop Doing This!

Many people dream of starting an online business, envisioning the freedom it brings—sales coming in 24/7, no more clocking in and out, and no more working 50, 60, or even 70 hours a week.

But if you’re like most people, you’ve probably tried starting a business, only to find yourself reverting back to your old habits, losing motivation, and failing to achieve the success you hoped for.

If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

The issue lies in understanding the root cause of why this happens to so many people. It’s all about the mindset, and there are three distinct types of people who approach success in different ways.

A calendar with the date encircled, and the words DON'T THINK. JUST DO.1. The “DO” People: The Majority of Us (90%)

The first group of people is the DO group. These individuals are driven by passion and desire—they want to succeed, and they want to take action. But there’s a catch.

While they might start strong with the intention of launching their business, they often find themselves falling back into old habits. The result? They never see the success they’re striving for.

The biggest issue for the DO group is that they focus solely on what to do, often ignoring the bigger picture.

These individuals believe that if they can just learn the right steps, the right strategies, or the perfect formula for success, everything will fall into place.

But despite following the “what to do” instructions, they struggle. They put in the physical effort—creating content, running ads, making products—but they don’t see results.

Why? Because they’re only focused on the physical actions—their hands and feet.

This focus on the “doing” alone is limiting. It’s not enough to just do the right things; you must have the right mindset behind those actions.

The second group is the BELIEVE group. These people have realized that merely focusing on what to do isn’t enough.

They’ve had their “aha” moment and come to the realization that their beliefs play a significant role in their success.

They understand that their beliefs shape their actions. This is a crucial step toward success, but it’s still not the final answer.

People in the BELIEVE group have taken the time to shift their mindset and beliefs. They know that success doesn’t just come from doing the right things—it comes from believing that they can succeed.

But here’s where it gets tricky: even though their beliefs are in the right place, they still haven’t fully aligned with the next step.

Beliefs are powerful, but they don’t always guarantee results. Share on X

As I shared earlier, just believing in the right things doesn’t necessarily guarantee success.

For example, many people understand that eating right and exercising are essential for losing weight, but they still fail to achieve their goals.

Why? Because even though they believe in the process, they might not fully embrace the deeper truth that drives consistent action.

Then we have the THINK group, which represents about 1% of the population. These individuals understand the foundational truth that the right actions and beliefs stem from the way you think.

They don’t focus on just what to do or what to believe—they focus on their thoughts. This is where the real transformation happens.

Changing the way you think is the first step to transforming everything else in your life. Share on X

People in the THINK group understand this truth. They recognize that what they think shapes their beliefs, and their beliefs, in turn, shape their actions. This group knows that to succeed, they must start by changing their thoughts.

By filling their minds with positive, success-driven beliefs, they naturally change their actions. This is the key to unlocking true success.

When you focus on changing the way you think, everything else falls into place. It’s like a domino effect: your thoughts shape your beliefs, and your beliefs shape your actions.

That’s when the results start to appear. Without the right mindset, no matter how hard you try, your efforts will feel like you’re pushing a boulder uphill, constantly working without making progress.

For example, when I lost 40 pounds in 6 months, the real secret wasn’t in following a strict diet or workout plan—it was in changing my mindset.

I had to first shift the way I thought about food and exercise, which led to a change in my beliefs about what was possible for me. Only then did the actions follow, and the results became possible.

If you’re frustrated by working hard without seeing results, shift your focus now.

Success doesn’t just come from doing the right things or believing the right things—it starts with thinking the right thoughts. Share on X

This applies to every goal you want to achieve, whether it’s building an online business or improving your health.

The Bible encourages us to renew our minds and change the way we think. This principle works in every area of life.

To see results, you must first change your thoughts. When your thoughts change, your beliefs follow, and your actions align with your new mindset. This is the key to success.
