Being in God’s Place

Being in God’s place is what we have to do when we follow him. If we are faithful to his word, he his faithful to uphold his side of the bargain. God asks us to trust him and in return we allow ourselves to grow closer to him. Being in God’s place is precious because God provides ample opportunity to use his greatness for good. Lets take the prophet Samuel for example. Yesterday we looked at the prophet’s mother Hannah and what she promised God and today we go deeper into this story. Samuel was placed in a position, to stand in on God’s behalf. Samuel was their as Eli and family died, and Samuel was their for God to use him after. The Bible says that Samuel was a prophet, in the days when visions were hard to come by. This was not by mistake but was foreknown by God. The Bible states that Samuel kept all God’s words close, not letting any fall. We see how from one barren woman in Hannah, that the next person in line can be so important to a nation.
