Muslim Thinks Attacking The Bible Will Help But Gets Destroyed
It all started during a livestream discussion when a young Muslim man named Harris joined the chat with a challenge.
He asked,
“Why do you believe Christianity is better for women than Islam?”
It was a fair question — but also a revealing one. Because when you compare the two faiths side by side, the difference in how they treat and value women becomes impossible to ignore.
So, I asked Harris a simple question in return:
“Is Islam better for women than Christianity?”
Instead of answering directly, he shifted the focus — bringing up the hijab and Bible verses about women covering their heads. That’s a common move.
When Muslims are pressed about what the Qur’an actually says about women, many quickly try to deflect by attacking Christianity.
But truth doesn’t need deflection. It stands firm, even under scrutiny.
Islam’s Teaching: “Women Are Deficient”
I reminded Harris that one of the biggest differences between Christianity and Islam is how each views the mind and worth of women.
In Islam, women are literally taught that they are mentally and morally deficient compared to men. This isn’t hearsay — it comes directly from Islamic sources.
“The Prophet said, ‘Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?’ They said, ‘Yes.’ He said, ‘This is because of the deficiency of a woman’s mind.’” — Sahih al-Bukhari 2658
That statement alone should make anyone pause. Imagine being told that your Creator made you with a “deficient mind” and that your word is worth half of someone else’s — simply because of your gender.
But this is exactly what Surah 2:282 reinforces:
“And call to witness, from among your men, two witnesses. And if two men be not found then a man and two women, such as you approve of as witnesses, so that if one errs the other can remind her.” — Surah 2:282
In Islam, a woman’s testimony in court is only valid when paired with another woman — because the assumption is that she’s more prone to forget or err.
How can that be divine justice?
The Bible, by contrast, gives women equal standing before God. From creation to redemption, Scripture declares that God made both men and women in His image.
Christianity never calls women “deficient.” It calls them divinely designed. Share on X“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” — Genesis 1:27
The Hijab and the Illusion of Honor
When I asked Harris why he brought up the hijab, he said it was because Christianity also talks about women covering their heads.
That’s true — but context matters. The head covering mentioned in 1 Corinthians 11 was a cultural symbol of respect during public worship, not a permanent garment of submission.
Islam’s hijab now represents something very different. It no longer expresses modesty — it enforces control.
In many Muslim cultures, leaders teach women that showing their hair, revealing their faces, or even speaking freely dishonors Allah.
What once symbolized dignity now restricts and silences them.
In Christ, we don’t find our dignity in cloth — we find it in freedom.
Christian modesty is about the heart, not a dress code enforced by fear or shame. Share on X
When Muslims Attack the Bible to Avoid the Qur’an
What struck me most about this exchange was how quickly Harris tried to change the subject. Instead of defending the Qur’an’s treatment of women, he tried to argue that the Bible says worse things.
But that’s not an argument — that’s avoidance.
This happens often: when Muslims realize that verses like Surah 4:34 are indefensible, they look for any verse in the Bible to attack instead.
Let’s look at what Surah 4:34 actually says:
“Men are the protectors and maintainers of women… As to those women on whose part ye fear disloyalty and ill-conduct, admonish them, refuse to share their beds, and beat them.” — Surah 4:34
The Qur’an literally instructs men to beat their wives if they “fear disobedience.” When I read this verse out loud, Harris reluctantly admitted that in some situations, it would be acceptable for a husband to physically discipline his wife.
That’s not righteousness — that’s abuse justified by religion.
In the Bible, God commands husbands to do the complete opposite.
Love like Christ means sacrifice, not superiority. It means leading through service, not control. Share on X“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.” — Ephesians 5:25
The Qur’an vs. the Bible: Two Opposite Pictures of Womanhood
As I continued talking with Harris, I realized that his entire argument rested on a misunderstanding of the Bible and a denial of his own Scripture.
When Islam claims to “honor women,” what it really does is place them under lifelong guardianship. A woman’s father, husband, or even brother is legally responsible for her.
She cannot marry without permission. She cannot testify freely in court. And in some countries, she cannot even travel without male approval.
That’s not honor — that’s bondage.
Christianity paints a very different picture. In Christ, men and women share equal access to God, equal value in worth, and equal purpose in life.
“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” — Galatians 3:28
Women in the Bible were leaders, prophets, and disciples. Deborah judged Israel. Esther saved her people. Mary carried the Savior of the world. Lydia financed the early church.
These women weren’t silenced — they were used powerfully by God.
What True Freedom Looks Like
As our conversation wrapped up, Harris tried to insist that Islam gives women “respect” by allowing them to keep their own earnings and receive gifts from their husbands.
But that’s not respect — that’s a transaction.
True respect isn’t measured by material provision; it’s measured by spiritual equality. Share on XThe Bible doesn’t reduce women to property, servants, or subjects. It calls them heirs together of the grace of life.
“Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.” — 1 Peter 3:7
Islam can’t offer that kind of honor because it builds its system on hierarchy, not harmony.
Women are Not Deficient
This conversation showed how Islam collapses under the weight of truth when we hold it up next to Scripture.
The Qur’an’s teachings about women being “deficient,” their testimony being worth half a man’s, and the allowance for husbands to beat their wives (Surah 4:34) all stand in direct contrast to the Bible’s vision of love, equality, and grace.
Christianity doesn’t degrade women; it dignifies them. It doesn’t call them weak-minded; it calls them fearfully and wonderfully made.
Through Jesus Christ, women aren’t property or dependents — they are co-heirs of the kingdom of God.
That’s why these discussions matter so much. They expose false beliefs and reveal the beauty of Biblical truth. When we speak that truth clearly, it shatters every lie that tries to disguise oppression as devotion.

Watch it to witness how God’s Word always cuts through confusion and stands undefeated.
May this serve as a reminder that every debate, every question, and every challenge is an opportunity to point people back to Christ — the only One who sets us free.
